Bringing Joy and Inspiration: Habema Koops Task Force Visits SDN 1 Dekai in Papua

YAHUKIMO - The 6th Marine Infantry Battalion Task Force (Yonif 6 Task Force) of the Habema Koops made a heartwarming visit to SDN 1 Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Papua, on Wednesday (29/01/2025). While conducting a routine patrol, the task force took time to engage in Social Communication (Komsos) activities, bringing smiles and joy to the faces of the students they met.

The warm interaction between the soldiers and the children showcased not only the TNI’s commitment to fostering close ties with the Papuan community but also its role in inspiring the younger generation to embrace education with renewed enthusiasm and confidence.

Lieutenant Colonel Marine Rismanto Manurung, S.M., M.Tr. Opsla., CTMP., Commander of the Yonif 6 Marine Task Force, emphasized the authenticity of the children's happiness during the interaction. “The genuine joy of the students is evident in their smiles and enthusiasm when they meet our personnel. It reflects the positive impact we aim to create in their lives, ” he remarked.

This initiative, part of the task force's ongoing patrol and Komsos efforts, is designed to strengthen the TNI's relationship with the local community, particularly in the field of education. It underscores the TNI’s broader mission to support the acceleration of development in Papua, especially in areas vital to the region’s future, such as education.

“The visit to SDN 1 Dekai is a testament to the TNI's dedication to building stronger ties with the community while contributing to the development of education in Papua. These efforts are crucial for ensuring that the younger generation in Papua has access to opportunities for growth and learning, ” stated Maj. Gen. TNI Lucky Avianto, Commander of KOOPS HABEMA, after receiving the activity report.
